On December 17, 2024, the Village Board approved an amendment to the Bartlett municipal code allowing overnight permit parking for the residence of the Bartlett Green townhomes.

Beginning Thursday, December 19, 2024, eligible residents can apply for an annual overnight parking permit to park on the street in designated permit parking areas between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

To apply for an overnight parking permit, applicants must reside within the overnight permit parking zone, which includes the following residential areas:

• Oneida Ave. between S. Prospect Ave. and S. Elroy Ave.
• S. Hale Ave. between North Ave. and Oneida Ave.
• S. Chase Ave. between North Ave. and Oneida Ave.

To apply for an overnight parking permit the following must be provided at the Police Department Records window:

1. Name of the owner or operator of the vehicle, proof of current residency within the overnight permit parking zone, motor vehicle’s make, model, registration number, and registration address.
2. Evidence that the vehicle to be permitted is, owned, leased, or other wise under the control of the applicant.
3. Applicants must pay an application fee of $50 per permit.

The following procedures will apply regarding the issuance of overnight parking permits:

• Every residence with a driveway or off-street parking area will be allowed a maximum of one (1) overnight parking permit.
• Every residence without a driveway or off-street parking area will be allowed a maximum of three (3) parking permits.
• If 135 overnight parking permits are not issued within the first two weeks of each calendar year, a maximum of two (2) additional overnight parking permits may be issued per residence, on a first-come, first issued basis until 135 overnight parking permits are issued.
• The overnight parking permit must be renewed annually and will remain valid for one (1) calendar year.
