Project Overview: This project focuses on enhancing key areas in downtown Bartlett by creating a connected series of attractive and comfortable pedestrian spaces. The scope of the project can be seen in the map below.

It includes the areas south of the railroad tracks from the Bartlett Depot Museum to Bartlett Town Center. Planned improvements include new sidewalks, native landscaping, hardscaping, seating, and a new water feature in Town Center.

This water feature - a raised fountain, waterfall, and stream - is an interpretation of Brewster Creek and Winding Creek that once flowed through downtown. This project honors Bartlett’s past and recognizes the natural resources of the area.

8/15/2025 - Landscaping is complete in Locations 1 and 2. Underground utility work continues in Location 4. Currently, electrical crews are installing the infrastructure for street lights, decorative lighting, and a new water feature that will run through Town Center. 

8/5/2025 - Decorative landscaping continues in Locations 1 & 2. Underground utility work in Location 4 (Town Center) is ongoing and work in this area will continue over the next couple of months. 

7/18/2025 - Trees, bushes, and outcropping in Locations 1 and 2 is complete. The remaining landscaping in Locations  1, 2, and 3 will take place later in the year when the weather is more favorable. Underground utility work in Location 4 (Town Center) is currently underway and work in this area will progress over the next couple of months. 

6/26/2025 - Sidewalk was installed in front of More Brewing, State Farm, McClure Chiropractic, and Valcon (Location 3). Bricks will be installed the week of 6/30/2025, prior to the parade on July 5. Landscaping in Location 2 will also begin next week.

6/20/2025 - Landscaping has been installed in Location 1. Sidewalk has been removed and drainage utilities installed in front of More Brewing, State Farm, McClure Chiropractic, and Valcon (Location 3). Concrete will be poured in this area the week of 6/23 and bricks will be installed throughout Location 3 prior to the parade on July 5th.

6/12/2025 - Landscaping work continues in Location 1 and will move into location 2 upon completion. Sidewalk repair in front of More Brewing, State Farm, McClure Chiropractic and Valcon (Location 3) was held off due to utility relocation, but is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of 6/16/25.

6/5/2025 - Landscaping work has begun in Location 1 and concrete work continues in Locations 2 and 3. Sidewalk repair in front of More Brewing, State Farm, McClure Chiropractic and Valcon is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of 6/9/25. 

April 2025 - the first phase of construction will begin along Railroad Avenue near the Depot Museum
