BARTLETT, ILLINOIS — Voters in Bartlett will have the opportunity to choose three members of the Village Board of Trustees in the next municipal election.
Bartlett operates under a village president–trustee form of government. Six trustees serve on the Village Board, with trustees elected at-large to four-year terms. The trustee elections are staggered, meaning three trustee seats are elected every two years. Municipal elections in Bartlett are held in odd-numbered years.
The three trustee positions on the ballot will be an important part of determining the future direction of the Village of Bartlett. Trustees work with the village president and other board members on issues affecting residents, businesses and the community as a whole, including village finances, development, infrastructure, public services and long-term planning.
A Look at the Election
Because Bartlett's trustees are elected at-large, candidates are elected by voters throughout the village rather than from individual districts. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the available seats will be elected.
The election provides Bartlett residents with an opportunity to consider the experience, priorities and vision of each candidate before casting their ballots.

Bartlett is served by separate taxing districts with their own elected boards. These include the Bartlett Library District, the Bartlett Park District, and the Bartlett Fire Protection District. These districts do not fall under the Village of Bartlett Village Board.
Information packets can be picked up from the Village Clerk’s Office at Village Hall (2nd Floor-Administration) beginning on Monday, August 24th. Petitions may NOT be circulated prior to August 25, 2026.
