Bartlett Police Announce IDOT’s Distracted Driving Campaign Results
During the month of April, Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s 2026 Distracted Driving Campaign. Bartlett Police Department’s participation in this statewide traffic safety initiative was fully funded by a grant awarded by the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering, which aims to deter distracted driving injuries and fatalities.
Bartlett Police Department conducted an additional 21 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target distracted drivers. During the 21 hours of additional enforcement, Bartlett Police Department issued 33 citations for operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device and 11 citations for other moving and non-moving violations.
