Police Sergeant Completes Leadership and Managerial Program

The Bartlett Police Department is proud to announce the recent graduation of Sergeant Christopher Johnson from the 10-week Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command that was held in Elmhurst between September 8, 2025 – January 16, 2026.

The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in a total of twenty-seven core or mandatory blocks of instruction and utilizes additional blocks of instruction during each session. The major topics of study include: Leadership, Project Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Applied Statistics, Planning and Policy Development, Budgeting and Resource Allocation.  Each student is academically challenged through written examinations, projects, presentations and quizzes in addition to a research paper that are a required part of the curriculum.

Bartlett Police Department anticipates a variety of benefits from Sergeant Johnson’s completion of this program. Many of the School of Police Staff and Command graduates go on to achieve a variety of leadership positions within their respective agencies.
