Thursday, 5/30/2024 - From Friday, 5/17, through Tuesday, 5/28, Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) 2024 Memorial Day traffic enforcement campaign. The police department's participation in this statewide traffic safety initiative was fully funded by a grant awarded by the IDOT Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering.
Police officers conducted specialized traffic enforcement, which resulted in 52 vehicles being stopped for committing traffic violations:
Misdemeanor/Ordinance Offenses
- One motorist was charged for aggravated speeding (50 mph over the speed limit).
- Three motorists were charged for driving without a valid license.
- One motorist was charged for driving while license suspended.
