Monday, 5/6/2024 - During the month of April, Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) 2024 Distracted Driving Campaign. Participation in this statewide traffic safety initiative was fully funded by a grant awarded by IDOT’s Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering, which aims to deter distracted driving injuries and fatalities.

The police department conducted an additional 24 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target distracted drivers. During the 24 hours of additional enforcement, police issued 32 citations for operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device and 22 citations for other moving and non-moving violations.
